Chris Harrison's Bachelor Blog, "Tierra's breakdown"

In his weekly blog for Entertainment Weekly, Bachelor host, Chris Harrison, Blogs about Sean Lowe's season. Here's what Harrison had to say this week...

Amanda Meyer's injury on the group date: "The group date was interesting, to say the least. I put the roller derby idea right up there with the Muay Thai boxing date during Ashley’s season in Chiang Mai. Sure, it seems like a good idea, but once you realize everyone’s just getting hurt, it becomes less sexy. One good thing about these dates is you get to really see what people are made of and how they handle stressful situations. You also get to see how tough their jaws are. Everybody took some big spills but Amanda really came crashing down. Fortunately her jaw broke her fall. She was banged up pretty good and had to go make sure she didn’t actually fracture her jaw. Luckily she returned later in the date, but sadly, she’ll never play the harmonica the same again."

Chris Harrison Blogs about the Bachelor, Week 3!

In his NEW blog for Entertainment Weekly, The Bachelor's Chris Harrison blogs about a shirtless Sean Lowe (yet again) and episode 3! Here's what he had to say:

Sean Lowe and Lesley's makeout date: "After I was lucky enough to have an awkward front row seat to watch Sean and Lesley make out I got to spend a day at the beach on the group date. This date was held down at Zuma Beach in Malibu, only about ten minutes from the Bachelor mansion. The girls were having a good time but they knew something was coming. Once I broke the ladies up into two teams they actually went and practiced for a bit with two professional beach volleyball players. After a good practice session with the pros it was time to play."

Chris Harrison's Blogs about the Bachelor, Week 2!

In his NEW blog for Entertainment Weekly, Bachelor host, Chris Harrison, shares his thoughts about The Bachelor, Episode 2.

Why did Sean pick Sarah for the free fall date? "So, Sean picked Sarah for the first extreme date of the season and that can mean good things. There’s Bachelor history on her side. Very often, the girl that gets the extreme date goes very far with the Bachelor. If their date and chemistry are any indication, I think this is going to be the case again."

Chris Harrison Bachelorette Blog Episode 7

chris-harrison
In his new Blog post for Entertainment Weekly, Chris Harrison talks about the Bachelorette, Episode 7. Here's what he writes.

About Arie's date with Emily
"Arie got the first date and they spent the day strolling around old town Prague. One of the things I enjoyed the most was wandering the streets and eating food from the many street vendors, but hot wine was not high on the list for me. I want to talk a little bit about the Arie situation and his relationship with our producer Cassie. I feel like we handled this situation well. Was the story big enough that it needed to be touched on? Yes. But was it a huge scandal? No. So I think we did a good job of showing you the truth about what happened and how it absolutely didn’t affect Emily and Arie’s relationship whatsoever. Later that night during the date, Arie was the first man to tell Emily he’s in love with her and by the look on her face, she was happy to hear it. The fireworks display over the Charles Bridge was one of the most incredible backdrops we’ve used to light up the sky around the world. Fireworks — they’ve kind of become a tradition for us."

Here's what Harrison has to say about the Jenna and Monica drama: "As for Monica and Jenna, Jenna just let Monica get the best of her. Monica saw that she could put the screws to her and she did every chance she could. Jenna was already out of her element and Monica smelled blood in the water and attacked. Jenna locked herself in the bathroom and was crying so much we weren’t sure she was even going to make it to the rose ceremony. We had to hold everything up and wait for her. Ben was somewhat aware of the drama and although he was unsure of Jenna, in the end he decided he would chalk up her emotion to first night jitters and give her another chance." Chris Harrison Blogs about the Bachelor: The Final Rose

chris-bachelor-pad
This week, Chris Harrison talks about the After the Final Rose special.

Chris Harrison writes: "I want to jump forward a bit to the After the Final Rose special, which we shot about a week ago. Chantal hadn’t seen her breakup yet and was extremely emotional. Despite the fact that she says she’s now in love with another man and has moved on, you could tell she still had serious feelings for Brad and had a lot of questions to be answered. When Brad was sitting there with her you could feel the emotion and tension between them. She was really hurt and I’m not sure Brad really could have said anything to fix that. Chantal wanted to be assured that what she felt and what Brad said was real. As Chantal announced on the show she has found somebody since the show wrapped and has apparently fallen head over heels in love. I wish them the best and truly hope she finds what she’s looking for." Read Chris Harrison's full Bachelor blog here!

Chris Harrison blogs weekly at EW.com!

This week, Chris Harrison talks about Brad's funeral date with Shawntel Newton.  Harrison writes: "Then there was the hometown trip of death, literally. As you could tell, Shawntel is very serious about her job and she and her family mean a lot to the community in Chico, Calif. The conversation Brad had with Shawntel’s father, who expressed his concern about his daughter leaving the city and thus abandoning the family business, definitely weighed on Brad’s mind the entire week. Yes, in the end her dad did say he wished them well and gave them his blessing, but that moment and that pressure of taking her away hung over the date and probably played a factor in Brad’s final decision. Add to that the fact that Brad wasn’t feeling nearly as much for Shawntel as she was for him, and it made the decision to send her home the right one to make this week. Oh, there was one other thing on Brad’s mind — the fact that the guy is a little freaked out by death doesn’t help when you’re dating a funeral director. That’s something he can talk to the therapist about next time. In her exit interview you could really tell she’s an amazing woman and really cared for Brad. There was no bitterness or contempt, just appreciation for the experience and love for him, and that was very cool to see. One last little note about Shawntel’s hometown date: Her mom Coleen loves Mai Tais, so Brad brought all the fixins over and tried to make her one. That was the drink Brad handed her in the kitchen while they were talking. Not nearly as good as the frozen mojitos we enjoyed while in Anguilla."  Read Chris Harrison's full blog posting here!

This week, Chris Harrison writes: "We packed our bags, left the rain forest in Costa Rica for the beautiful CuisinArt Resort on the island of Anguilla (pronounced like vanilla). Once the girls figured out where this island was they were extremely excited. I flew in on the same flight with the ladies and it didn’t take long for our cover to be blown. Tourists were quickly snapping pictures of the ladies in the St. Martin airport. Anguilla is a short boat ride away from St. Martin, and the women loved the speedboat cruise across the crystal blue ocean to our island getaway. Like in Costa Rica, we once again had the entire resort to ourselves. It makes it so much easier when the cast and crew don’t have to worry about who’s watching what we’re up to. Once the ladies got settled in their private villa, the first one-on-one date was set between Brad and Emily..." Check out Chris Harrison's full Bachelor Blog at EW.com!

The Bachelor's contestant Michelle pushes Brad Womack to the edge as she 'scares him' with her possessive behaviour

Chris Harrison's Bachelor Blog can be found weekly at EW.com!

This week, Chris Harrison writes about the Michelle controversy and why Brad might have gave her a rose...

"Let’s deal a little bit with Michelle. She is easily the most talked about woman this season and the woman I get asked the most about. Up to this point she has been very careful about how she’s been playing Brad, but this week he started to see through that. For the first time, Brad seemed less intrigued and turned on by her and more confused and even a little frustrated. As for her late night visit, Michelle waited until all the other girls had gone to sleep before she quietly snuck out. Again the entire property was ours so it wasn’t difficult for her to find his place, which was just above their suite...." Read Chris Harrison's full Bachelor Blog here!

Harrison blogs this week "Let the blood begin to flow. No not between Raichel and Melissa — we’ll deal with their battle later. I’m talking about National Blood Donor month. We here at The Bachelor are very happy to be partnering up with the American Red Cross to shine an entertaining light on a very serious topic. Last Saturday, Brad, a host of former contestants, and myself were extremely proud to host a blood drive here in L.A. This is the first of several we’re going to host across the country. For more info on these blood drives and how you can help, go to our website. Now let’s get back to the show. This week as promised I didn’t watch with my family and friends, so don’t worry — you wont be digging into the archives for your Best of Eddie Money album. I checked, and there really is a Best of Eddie Money album. Who knew? The first thing we did this week was move the girls into the mansion. There’s a lot more to this than you get to see. Once I meet them on the driveway and move the women in, they run around the house checking everything out. One highlight you didn’t get to see during the move was Sarah P. diving into the pool with her clothes on. Madison followed close behind. They got dried off before I called them inside for the date card talk...." Read Chris Harrison's full blog post here!
