SHOCKING ROSE CEREMONY IN 'BACHELOR HISTORY'

The Bachelorette Finale Spoilers Revealed: Shocking Twist

As we mentioned in an earlier post, “The Bachelorette” comes to an end in 2 weeks and according to Associated Content, finale spoilers have already started to pop up here and there on the Internet. But fans of the show, won’t know if the spoilers are true or just fake.

In the last episode of “The Bachelorette,” we saw Jillian send home Reid and tell Kiptyn and Ed that they are through to the finale. If fans have already read the spoilers, they may know that there is rumored to be a shocking twist in this season’s finale.

BACHELORETTE: POSSIBLE ENDINGS

Bachelorette Spoilers: Don't believe everything you read about Jillian's proposal, the next Bachelor

by Lindsay Connor, http://www.examiner.com/x-11850-Bachelorette-Examiner~y2009m7d14-Bachelorette-Spoilers-Dont-believe-everything-you-read-about-Jillians-proposal-the-next-Bachelor

The Bachelorette: Possible ending
With some potential foreshadowing earlier in episode 9, Jillian makes a comment that Reid is the guy she could see standing at the other side of that altar someday.

Reid's last words in the limo say it all. "It would have been a lot easier if I would've told her I loved her," he says. "If I could reverse things, I would."

And on that note, viewers are invited to speculate about one possible ending. (In many viewer's opinions, it's the most plausible.) What if Reid did not leave Hawaii, but stayed on the island long enough to make a dramatic comeback and proposal to Jillian, after she is turned down by one of her final two guys? In this fashion, he could show up in the last 5 minutes of the show and change everything, proving that he's willing to put himself out there, tell her he loves her and that he's willing to make sacrifices for her.

Remember that ABC is always inclined to promote a dramatic ending, and the producers will make special exceptions (like allowing Ed to leave the show and come back, or letting Jake return for a dramatic confrontation). Editing Reid in such a positive light and showing off him and Jillian as such a complete package, only to have him make a surprise return at the end--it's a brilliantly scripted possibility.

Bachelorette Finale Spoilers

via: http://www.transworldnews.com/NewsStory.aspx?id=102040&cat=2

Details on the Bachelorette finale have been leaked online. Promos for next week’s episode reveal that one of the bachelors will make a confession and Jillian Harris will begin to doubt her decision on who to pick.

SPOILERS:

According to reports, Reid Rosenthal – who Jillian sent home this week because he couldn’t tell her how he felt – will return to say that he loves her. Jillian will apparently stick to receiving proposals from her two remaining bachelors, Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke. Sources claim Jillian will accept Ed’s proposal, sending Kiptyn home brokenhearted.

Jake Pavelka, the pilot from Texas who exposed Wes’ lie, will reportedly be the next Bachelor.

Meanwhile, promos also revealed that last season’s Bachelor Jason Mesnick and his pick Molly Malaney will return to discuss their relationship. Jason famously chose Molly after initially proposing to Melissa Rycroft. Only weeks after the proposal, he dumped Melissa on national TV and asked Molly for a second chance.

WILL REID RETURN?

Reid Rosenthal Dumped On the Bachelorette

Last night it was pretty clear - Bachelorette Jillian Harris would give Screech a rose if he told her she'd get a proposal out of him. Last night, the three remaining bachelors were whisked away to Maui where producers pushed Jillian to give the guys a second shot at the Fantasy Suite hump-fest, as she had denied them all before in Spain. And they all took her up on her offer, though apparently, Ed Swiderski suffered a bit of stage fright.

Reid Rosenthal, who shared the most obvious chemistry with Jillian, was the sensible and realistic bachelor - not promising a proposal, but also not disqualifying the idea either. He just flatly told her that his feelings for her were growing and that he didn't want to jump into something just for the sake of romance. He's a level-headed thinker and he went home because of it. Jillian pushed and prodded the final three for confessions of their undying love for her, but alas, only Ed, the same guy who left the show a few weeks earlier only to come back to proclaim he'd made a huge mistake, took the bait. Ed finally gave Jillian what she'd been looking for by dropping the L-bomb in a video message she watched before the rose ceremony.

Bottom line is Jillian wants an engagement. The person who gives it to her is secondary. So the final winner will be Ed as Kiptyn Locke already admitted he was not ready for an engagement. However, sources say differently. Want Bachelorette spoilers? They're here!

Chris Harrison blogs 'The Bachelorette': episode 9

Jul 14, 2009, 01:09 AM | by Chris Harrison, http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/07/chris-harrison-blogs-the-bachelorette-episode-9.html

Chris-Harrison-ext_l That's it, I'm now fully corrupted. I hope you're happy with yourselves. As many of you know, it was a big tech leap for me to start blogging last season. Then I took the next step and started tweeting (@chrisbharrison). Now, I have completed the circle…I'm on Facebook. I realize I'm about three years late to this party but hey, at least I arrived. There are a few fake pages but the real one has a bunch of pics and updates. It also has all the blogs from this season so you can go back and catch up, or just read them over and over again. I think my next step will be getting one of these new cordless devices I've been hearing so much about. Apparently you carry it around and you can make phone calls with it, and it's not attached to the wall. Okay, enough of my pathetic technological life. Let's talk business.

I apologize for not being there for you and Jillian last week in Spain. It's good to know that I was missed. Of all the people I really wanted to say “take a moment and say your goodbyes” to, I didn't get the chance. So, if you don't mind, I'd like to do it now. Wes, get your guitar, your hit song (in Chihuahua, Mexico), your Texas sayings (that really give all of us proud Texans a bad name), your girlfriend, and take a moment and say your goodbyes. Not sure about you but I feel better now. I promise I won't leave you hanging again and I'll make sure I get Jillian across the finish line. As I said last week, now that Wes is gone Jillian can get down to the business of finding the man she truly loves and wants to spend the rest of her life with. I met up with Jillian and the boys in Maui, where we spent this week. Kiptyn had the most uneventful date with Jill. I don't mean that in a bad way whatsoever, it's just that the other two dates had a little more content and drama. It always feels very easy between Kip and Jill. They had a blast at the ropes course and then came the fantasy suite card part II. Jillian gave in this time and took him back to the fantasy suite. Let me just say one thing about their relationship that bothers me a little bit. I don't like the fact that Jillian mentions at times that Kiptyn might be out of her league. That's an insecurity Jilli has and it's something she'll have to overcome before this relationship can take that next important step.

After Kiptyn's day, Jillian had her date with Reid. Or, as I like to call it, the great fishing trip. The entire date Jillian found herself fishing for info and confirmation of Reid's true feelings. As great as their relationship was, Jillian was always needing more from Reid and ultimately at this stage that's what Jillian used to make her final decision and send him home. For all the great things this process provides, unlimited time is not one of them. Jillian needed Reid to step up to the plate and he just couldn't do that. And when he left, I think that's something he regretted. My guess is he'll learn from this and never let it happen again. That to me is one of the great aspects of this show that is rarely discussed. I know many men and women who have left this show “unsuccessfully,” but with a much greater sense of who they are and what they want in life and love. Two good friends of mine, Bob Guiney and Andrew Firestone, are great examples of this. I consider both of them great success stories from this show, even though they didn't end up with somebody from their season. One last thing about Reid and Jillian's date: They too ended up in the fantasy suite and in a bubble bath. A huge rookie mistake often made in taking a bubble bath is adding too many bubbles. The perfect amount will give you the romantic bubbles (hiding what you don't want seen) but you can also see the other person on the other side of the tub. Come on! Do I have to teach these people everything? When I write my book someday I'll devote a chapter to proper bubble bath etiquette and technique. I'll talk a little more about Reid's goodbye down below. Up next was the comeback kid, Ed.

As Jillian put it best, Ed gets major points for simply listening to what his girl wants. Flying in his parents meant the world to Jillian. Ed has also been very open with his feelings toward Jillian, not leaving her to wonder or worry. The biggest problem with Ed that I can tell is his choice in wardrobe. I got a call from John McEnroe and Larry Bird and they want their short shorts back. Even though we were in Hawaii, don't get me started on the suit he wore to the rose ceremony. Go back and watch the guys' reactions when Ed walked up -- priceless. Jillian called it his ice cream salesman suit. Jillian decided to take Ed back to the fantasy suite and this is where the wheels came off of what was otherwise a perfect day. Jillian and Ed both put so much pressure on themselves and so wanted that moment to be perfect that it was a disaster. Now, with very little time left, Jillian has to find out if that romantic side of their relationship is there like it is with Kiptyn. With Kip there is no effort; it's just there like it should be. Now Jill has to find that with Ed.

THE BACHELORETTE: JILLIAN'S BLOG

Jillian's Blog

via: http://tvwatch.people.com/2009/07/14/bachelorettes-blog-jillians-heart-wrenching-goodbye/

It’s a little harder to write my blog now that there is less fun, juicy gossip and more deep, heartfelt feelings. How do you put this into words? This week was a hard one to watch — that heart-wrenching goodbye with Reid, the close-to-inappropriate steamy scene with Ed, (um, did that almost top my hot tub scene!? Yikes!) and me almost barfing on myself on that totem pole with Kiptyn! I have to admit that a lot of feelings came rushing back when I watched the episode this week.

Before I forget, I have to tell you how I spent my entire morning (from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) last Tuesday ... Holy moly, you guys!!! I am having so much fun with them, though! And for all of you who sent out a special little ’shout out’ to me directly … I HEAR YOU! And THANK YOU! xo

I have to say that my date with Kiptyn was WAY funnier than could ever be revealed on the screen. I just about peed my pants about 10 times that day. The ropes course was definitely the most humbling date I think Kip or I have ever been on. Poor Kip looked like a baby giraffe on those ropes, and I couldn’t catch my breath I was laughing so hard! To make matters worse, there was a continuation of themes on this date. Well, it all started on the western date back in Los Angeles when Kip had to wear very tight chaps. Then on the flamenco date, those pants — well let’s just say he claims he had trouble zipping them up. So, when we walked up to the ropes course, I told him, “Well, thank God I’m not putting you in skintight pants!” Just then we looked at the instructor and the harness he was wearing and Kip just looked at me and said, “WAIT A MINUTE!!!!” Turns out the harness accentuated that “area” and we howled for the entire date!

Reid’s date was very bitterSWEET (I capped the sweet because it was more sweet than bitter). See, Reid and I had a very good energy together. When we were together, it was like an old high school crush. We rarely worried about the specifics and were always just so flighty together. What you didn’t see was that we actually got a couples’ massage on the beach before dinner. Soooo romantic! I highly recommend it (if you happen to be slumming around the beaches of Maui looking for something to do)!

Another funny thing happened on that date: I was waiting on this picturesque beach for him to arrive that evening, with tiki torches behind me and the smell of gardenia filling the air. Well, just as Reid came around the corner, a little crab came running toward me and I started screaming and jumping up and down. As you can imagine, Reid and I laughed so hard. We were both so curious about that little crab and couldn’t concentrate on anything else for the longest time! So, that feeling that I have been looking for was definitely there with Reid, but the promise of any sort of commitment or partnership wasn’t there. And because I have been hurt before by not being realistic, it made me put up a wall and inevitably led to me letting Reid go. I will have to agree with Chris in saying this had to be the most emotional goodbye in Bachelorette history.

Now Ed’s date. I definitely have to say Ed and I fit A LOT into that day — the catamaran ride, cliff jumping and swimming in the ocean, but the best part of the date was not something I had planned … it was Ed’s surprise. I was SHOCKED when he told me he brought his parents to Hawaii. I had been hearing about this Judy for so long, she became sort of a legend to me. I am positive I was more nervous than she was. And how about Ed’s dad and his classic quote “What the hell are we doing here?” That was another belly laugh moment. After all the hometown dates, I will have to say this was definitely one of my favorites. So real.

Again, I have to say that this episode tugged on the heartstrings. I have been blessed with these three individuals who are not only bright, genuine, charismatic, gorgeous and down to earth — but who respect me and adore me. I can now say with 100 percent conviction that it is possible to fall for more than one person when you are presented with individuals of this caliber.

Thank you again for reading.

Bless you,
Jilly Beans

BACHELORETTE FINALE THOUGHTS

This is like one of those word problems in high school — "If Train A is traveling west at 80 mph and Train B …"

If the rumors are true, Kiptyn Locke has already been chosen as the next "Bachelor."

If that's true, then Ed Swiderski is the "winner" of "The Bachelorette," making good on his Monday night promise to propose if he's chosen in the end.

(Sidenote: That's half the battle. Jillian Harris just wants to get married to someone who wants to marry her. She's sort of in puppy love with everyone in the room, including, probably the camera guys.)

Then again, if A and B are true … is rumor C true, about Ed having a girlfriend back in Chicago? That's a shaky rumor, but everything on this show is so sketchy to begin with, I'm willing to believe anything. Then distrust it immediately afterward.

I've already decided this "unexpected confession" that happens two weeks from now (after The Men Tell All) is Jillian's "Honey Bear," Reid Rosenthal, returning to finally say he loves her.

Too late!

I wanted Reid in the end. She seemed most comfortable and natural with him. Her main problem seemed to be that he recognized a couple of months with a person was too short a time to lay it all out on the line. That's sanity.

Ed, on the other hand, just skates through this show like it's all a game. I think Reid didn't say the words Ed (or is it Richie?) did because Reid actually took them seriously.

Ed was part of the group that showed up "late" on the first episode. He left Jillian for work. He came back and seemed unenthusiastic about it. When he and Jill are talking – not making out, just talking – he tends to look away a lot. He felt pressure during the fantasy suite date (could it have been THE CAMERAS??) and Jill wasn't feeling the passion.

He will probably put his work before her and continue to check his work e-mails at 9 p.m., which Jill will not be able to take, especially now that she's gotten so used to the attention.

But I don't think Kiptyn is right for her either. He's so clinical — from his "thank you" last week at the rose ceremony, to this week's "good luck."

The Bachelorette: Reid's Ship Has Sailed
Via: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/the-bachelorette/the-bachelorette-reids-ship-ha-29984.aspx

reid-axed-bachelorette.jpg Last night's Bachelorette was not the most emotional episode ever but it did excite me for several reasons: All dates led to the fantasy suit where one man couldn't get his soldier up, and in the end, Jillian finally chose Kiptyn and Ed as her final two suitors before sending home yet another bachelor. It was tough to watch Reid leave since he was a pretty decent guy to begin with and he actually made her laugh ---something Jillian is looking for in someone she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Unfortunately, Reid fell short of Jillian's expectations.

When last we saw Jillian Harris, she was in Spain, ostentatiously turning down four overnight dates. Tonight, we'll see Jillian accept three overnight dates. Confused, anyone?

She's in Maui, land of crashing surf and literal long walks on the beach -- which she's doing in a bikini while she muses about her special guys in voiceover. She's thinking about a proposal constantly, she says. She draws a heart in the sand that says "J + ?", which I'm pretty sure she didn't think up spontaneously.

First up is Kyptin. There's 10 percent of him she's still uneasy about, she tells the camera. She squeals with delight as she hugs the other 90 percent. They head to a golf cart, which Jillian drives -- a good idea given his scooter performance last week -- to a platform in the middle of nowhere that leads to a "ropes tour." What's that, you might well ask. I'll tell you the second I find out.
