Reality bites: The 'Bachelorette' knows to never settle for Wes
“The Bachelorette” (ABC) Since Wes had already performed a song on the show, introduced his band and mentioned his new country album a dozen times, he decided it was high time to head back to Texas and did just about everything short of pantsing poor Jillian so that she’d finally get the hint.
He insulted her snowshoeing skills, refused to touch her, and when she tried to get him to open up about his feelings, he pointed out a one-legged pigeon hopping by. When it was clear Jillian was still holding out hope that Wes was just a concerned bird lover, he out-and-out said he had a girlfriend, then tried to make it look like a slip of the tongue. “Uh, ex-girlfriend.” I wish Jillian would have called his name out at the rose ceremony, and when Wes smugly went to grab that flower, she went, “Uh, Reid, actually.”
Now that's good TV: Thankfully, Jillian did eliminate Wes this week, and on his limo ride of rejection back to the hotel, he said he was going to go out on the town and hook up with some Spanish ladies. “I’m in Spain ... everybody’s gonna know my name.” Hey, it’s better than (one last time!) “They say, they say love don’t come eeeeeasy.”
