Ames deserves a great deal of credit for not fighting and just defending. It is quite horrible that it reached the point that viewers had to watch him be brutalized by that idiot Ryan, who never realized that he was beating at a man who was never going to throw a punch. We have to hope that Ames recovered completely. He seems like a very intelligent decent man.
