The Bachelorette: Justin Rego's Official Statement

Bachelorette reject, Toronto's Justin Rego, gives an official statement through his Facebook Page.

Justin Rego writes:

"First and foremost, I would like to say thank you to all my Fans who have been showing tremendous support during this very tough time. Many of you have been defending me on my Fan Page and my Profile and you are simply amazing, I will always love you for that. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to read this statement regardless of whether you believe me or not. I want to thank you for letting me share my side of the story... I would like to say that I was not in a relationship before I went on the show and I am still single now. I went on the show to experience an opportunity with possibilities of meeting the love of my life and creating great friendships that I can cherish for many years to come. As much as people would like to believe that I had no friends on the show and I had nothing but conflict with the other guys in the house, that is totally not the case. I have nothing but positive things to say about ALL the guys, including Kasey, Jonathan (The Weatherman), Craig R and Craig M. I'm disappointed that the loyal fans of the show (who watch every episode) will never see those friendships. I personally can't wait to see these guys again and see how they all have been since the show. I now look at them as not just guys I was on a reality show with, but as an extended part of my family.

Another thing I do want to comment on are the voice mail messages that were played during my exit from the show on Monday night. I left those messages when I was very confused and I was disgusted to hear messages with such private and personal content! I am quite upset that they were shared with the world just for an amazing scandal. Those messages were actually left after I told producers that I wanted OFF THE SHOW in Iceland. Yes, that's right! I no longer wanted to be a part of the show when we were in Iceland and wanted to get on the first plane home to Toronto!

The first time I saw a phone that I could use, I took full advantage of that opportunity and called my Mom, who I missed to death. My Mom informed me that I should call Jessica because there was a lot going on back in Toronto and that Jessica was contacted by Producers of the show. This news hit me like a ton of bricks, to think that the Producers that were saying "trust me I'm your friend" on the show were the same people that were trying to provoke and encourage this scandal to be something it wasn't. As everyone that has watched the show this season knows, I suffered a devastating injury when I was wrestling two weeks before I traveled to LA to participate in The Bachelorette. During this two week period, Jessica was there for me when I needed someone to help me out. I will be the first to admit that she helped me a lot during that time. She showed me a side of her that I had never seen before, a side that I would call close to perfection in my eyes. For the first time I felt that Jessica was showing me the characteristics of someone I would want to spend the rest of my life with. Unfortunately now after I have learned everything that has happened, I have reason to believe that there was a second motive to her positive behavior before I left to film The Bachelorette. I no longer have any contact with Jessica, nor do I want her in my life in any way.

I feel betrayed, manipulated and unfairly lied too by both the Producers of ABC's The Bachelorette and Jessica. Due to the Producers of ABC's The Bachelorette wanting this scandal created at the expense of my character, I will not be attending The Men Tell All. I will not give the producers of this show the opportunity to have the chance of editing me to their liking once again. Its truly unfortunate that the Producers of The Bachelorette took this experience that was supposed to be an amazing moment that I will never forget, and made it into a living hell for me.

I will end this statement asking you to always keep this in mind that you can't believe everything you see on TV, and please don't be so quick to judge someone based on what you see on TV. Thank you to everyone taking the time to read my official statement about Monday's episode."

Justin, you sent those phone messages DURING THE SHOW, and you were caught using Ali to get fame. Why don't you just own up to being on the show for your own gain? Bluntly, when you spit in the wind it lands in your face. You're a sh*t. Own it.

Justin, I believe you were used to make for good controversy on the show, I think you were pretty genuine and Im sorry that you were the one that they used for ratings, It really wasnt fair what they did to you. Justin,
You're a good talker, but the actions tell the truth. A smart woman sees through your bull. I know the the editing can portray a person a certain way, but they need something to work off of first and foremost. I believe your actions gave them plenty of clips to work with.

From this experience, I hope you will become a person of integrity and honour (I'll wait while you look that up in the dictionary). But, if the trend of humanity is correct (the fact that people don't generally change their stripes unless it's i.e. facing their own mortality) , you'll only try to learn to lie better when you get caught next time. Best of luck to the next girl in your life.

Oh Jessica wasn't anything special? What about your other girlfriend that Jessica was talking about??????

Who wrote the statement above. It certainly wasn't you. You are not that articulate (just watch your confrontation with Ali). I believe that the networks can and do twist things for the "good of the show", however, there has to be some truth from which they can start. And what, if I might ask, did any of the women (Ali, Jessica, and ?) and/or men of the show do to deserve you dishonest actions? Men that may have had the right heart for Ali were sent home in your place. What kind of person steps on others to get their own way? Not a good person for sure. You need to grow up, be a man, and face your public with truth and honor not lies and deceit. Not a fan.

Justin...you were a sleeze ball from the beginning! A leopard does not change his stripes! You gave the network a scandal to work with and they did...but, big boy...you must always know that your continued unethical behavior kept it going! I am not surprised that you are afraid to show your fact on the Men Tall All episode!! Further supports your charactor (or lack of!)

Your injury was 2 weeks before the show and "YOU" indicated that Jesicca showed a different side and she was the women you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.....2 weeks later you are on the Bachelorette???? Your own statements prove that you were with her when you left to go on the show. And of course your single now, your pissed that she told the truth. And regardless of whether you had asked to be taken off the show in iceland, you left those messages while you were still on the show, dating Ali. If you wanted off that bad you would have walked out at a rose ceremony....Amit it, you wanted to see how far you could take it?

Justin, the only person you're fooling is yourself. When Jessica spoke with Ali, Jessica told her that you were calling and leaving messages...why would she make this claim if she didn't have the proof. Jessica obviously knew it would be a case of "he said, she said", so she played it smart and saved your messages proclaiming your love for her. I'm so happy that Jessica wised up and that Ali eventually found out the truth, thanks to your ex. Just remember, karma always wins in the end!

I believe Justin was set up by the producers of the show. They dig and find someone to exploit to boost the ratings. Do they really think none of these people had a life before the show? Like you said, you weren't married!
Hold your own buddy. I am a woman, but come on, a show's a show...ratings are all that count.

LOL! Its easy to type away your feelings and make yourself look like the 'good guy'. Did you NOT see your confrontation w/ Ali on the show? She asked you to tell her the truth and tell her that Jessica was lieing about everything. You walked away like a COWARD.Atleast you could do is go on the "Men Tell All" just to get your story out their. You fooled my Justin, I was all for you on the show, then you walk away like a coward.

I do not feel sorry for Justin. I am so damn sick of men thinking that they are so smart by playing women like fiddles. Look who played himself...

So much more respect for Wes (not that I have a lot of it for him LOL), who at least owned up to his true intentions once he was exposed.

If you really wanted off the show, you could have refused a rose at any point. It has been done before. While I'll agree editing plays a huge role in how each guy on the show is portrayed, I don't think any amount of editing could have made you look like a decent guy.

Seriously... you know what your intentions were when you went on this show. You were found out. You have to live with this backlash that YOU created.

You're just a little punk bully. After treating Kasey the way you did, don't expect people to care about anything you have to say. You treated him so mean and ugly and all the while you were the one who had a hidden agenda. You are a horrible disgusting excuse for a human being for messing with people's live's like way, especially Ali's. So get over yourself.

You're just a punk with no respect to women. A bully to everyone you think is inferior to you. I don't for one minute that you were mistreated by the show, not the tough, big talking wrestler Justin. You got caught and turned tail and ran, instead of being a man and owning up to what you did. Ali didn't deserve what you did to her and neither did your exgirlfriend. The other guys should have used some of your wrestling moves on you.

Like my Daddy said all those years ago . . . if it walks like a sleazeball and talks like a sleazeball . . . it's a sleazeball. Saw through you Justin the moment you flashed your shirt.
