JILLIAN GOES TO VANCOUVER 'EH?

Spring might have been uncharacteristically frosty in the Lower Mainland this year, but Monday's episode of The Bachelorette, filmed in Vancouver in early April, has some heated scenes nonetheless. No, I'm not referring to the inevitable shots of the 13 remaining bachelors going shirtless on the seawall. According to spoilers, America's Canadian girl-next-door, Jillian Harris, walks out on a cocktail party after being told that at least three of the bachelors have girlfriends back home. What?!? you gasp. Could it be that some of these contenders for Jillian's heart are not completely sincere? Say it ain't so, host Chris Harrison. But the truth will out, it seems, and Harrison instead offers to help our local heroine confront it during the final rose ceremony, thorns and all. At least the drama unfolds against some scenery: specifically, on a boat tour of Vancouver's harbour, a helicopter tour of the sights, a picnic in Stanley Park, and the top of Grouse Mountain, complete with a snowball fight. While in town, the 13 lads stayed at a specially adapted suite in the Fairmont Hotel and the 29-year-old Harris was a frequent visitor, earning the affections of hotel staff. "She even posed with the hotel's dogs," said Brenda Meikle, the hotel's public-relations representative.
Hmmm. Dogs. Now that's a subject Harris might just know something about.

Ackkk of all the times for my son's girlfriend to leave town - she was away in April and she works at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Enjoy the scenery - hopefully our city put on its pretty face for the Bachelorette fans. I will see if I can find out more about their stay at the hotel - even if she wasn't there she has lots of friends that were on duty.
I can't wait to see David, Tanner P and Juan to leave the show!
