Wes Feels Bad for Jillian and Ed

Via: People Magazine

Wes Hayden, The Bachelorette’s “baddest boy of them all,” just wrapped up a guys’ weekend in Austin with some other former contestants from the show.

“Tanner [Pope,] who lives in Dallas, drove up while Mike [Stagliano] and David [Good] and the rest of the guys flew in to have a good time and see me,” Hayden tells PEOPLE. “I loved hanging out with the guys. We had a great time.”

Amid rumors that Ed Swiderski was cheating on "The Bachelorette," this season's chosen man was spotted enjoying a late-night snack with his fiancée Jillian Harris in Las Vegas on Friday night.

The couple chilled out over drinks and appetizers at the restaurant LAVO around 11 p.m., says People.com. During their 90-minute stay, Jillian and Ed noshed, drank wine and held hands while talking. And they apparently had an incredible view, seated on the eatery's outdoor patio high above the Vegas strip.

Reid Rosenthal is still single!

After a heart-wrenching elimination, Reid Rosenthal returned to Hawaii on the season finale of The Bachelorette at the last minute to try and win back the affection of Jillian Harris. And he thought it would work, he told host Chris Harrison on Tuesday’s “After the Final Rose” special.

But as more than ten million viewers witnessed, Harris let the 30-year-old Philadelphia realtor down gently, confessing that she was in love with somebody else — Chicago computer software consultant Ed Swiderski.

Even though two months have past since the finale was shot in Hawaii, Rosenthal confesses to PEOPLE that his feelings for Harris haven’t gone away. “When I saw her [at the "After the Final Rose" special], feelings came back,” he tells PEOPLE. “But everything happens for a reason. That’s the way I think in life and just knowing that makes everything easier.”

IS TANNER STILL TALKING?

via: People Magazine, http://tvwatch.people.com/2009/06/29/the-bachelorettes-tanner-p-they-called-me-king-dong/

While the P in Tanner P stands for Pope, it could have just as easily stood for podophiliac (aka foot fetishist) and prankster as he was simply one of the most amusing suitors to ever step foot in The Bachelorette mansion. Post-eviction, the 30-year-old financial analyst discussed Jillian’s feet and his own “manties” from his home in Dallas, Texas. — Carrie Bell

You didn’t seem that bummed out when you didn’t get a rose.
I pretty much knew it was coming. We didn’t have any chemistry. We went the friendship route. It wasn’t that disheartening, but you hate to lose a good girl like that. So smart, attractive, successful — and her personality and everything.

It was a bold move to drop trou on a group date.
We were all talking about what we wear [to bed] and I just felt like, I’ve been kind of the comedian of this whole thing. I’m just going to bust out and show her my manties.

Everyone seemed impressed with what they saw. Be honest, did you stuff?
Negative. I was just blessed. All the guys knew [already] because we had outdoor showers. They called me King Dong.

You were also very open about your foot fetish.
Fetish sounds dirty and risqué to me. I just think it’s hot when a girl has pretty feet. But it’s not a deal breaker.

You were the one who told Jillian that someone had a girlfriend back home. Why not go all the way and name names?
When me and Wes first moved into the bunkhouse there was a lot of conversation going on. He’s joking around about, “Hey, you know, I’ve got a girl back home.” I didn’t know whether to take that seriously or not. The whole “girlfriend” thing may have gotten blown out of proportion, so I never wanted to tell Jillian 100% [that it was Wes]. But there was definitely stuff going around that was not right, and I felt like I needed to let her know.

Why ultimately come clean to the others that you were the snitch?
That’s the right thing to do. I didn’t want that blame to fall on, like Juan or Dave or somebody else. It was my responsibility so I took it.

How do you feel about Wes considering he may have been there for the wrong reasons?
Wes has obviously got some things going as far as his band. But we were actually good friends on the show. Wes is a good guy. He’s a talented singer. I don’t go that route whenever I approach a girl but that’s who Wes is.

What was your reaction to Ed’s decision to leave?
That was a complete shock because I thought Ed was one of the front-runners. Him and Jillian had something real special. When Ed was around, her eyes sparkled. We were in the middle of Canada, and he pretty much said, “You know what? I’ve got to leave. I’ve got a great job at Microsoft.” I understand completely, a great job like that, but I don’t see how he got himself in that situation. He knew he was going to to be gone for up to two months.

Now that you are back home, how have people responded to your taste for toes? And are they like, “It’s Tanner from The Bachelorette with the big you-know-what!”
Yes, with the big package. Dallas is kind of the mecca for reality show junkies, and I’ve taken lots and lots of pictures with girls and their feet. They’re like, “Hey, how do you like my feet? Take a picture with me and my feet.”

IT'S DOWN TO FIVE GUYS!

The Bachelorette Recap: It’s Down to Five

Jillian took the opportunity to smack each bachelor’s behind as they loaded onto a luxury train in Vancouver on Monday’s episode of The Bachelorette, which narrowed the playing field from eight to five men.

Liquid Discourage: The bucolic and snowy splendor of the Canadian Rockies was the perfect place for romance unless you’re Robby, who got the first individual date and attempted to have a Cocktail moment when he tried to teach Jillian some fancy shaker moves. During dinner in the caboose, he was too honest for his own good, admitting to a family marriage curse, a small vocabulary and a long romantic dry spell. Jillian withheld the rose and dropped him off in the middle of “the Canadian wilderness.”

Snakes on a Train: Wes swooped in to make her feel better but confessed to the camera that he has a hidden agenda. “There’s no doubt this is going to help me,” he said of being on the show. “I got records to sell. I’ll always have Jillian wrapped around my finger.” While Jillian didn’t pick up on his opportunism, more of the guys are figuring out his ulterior motives.

After snowshoeing to a cabin on Emerald Lake for the group date, Jake noticed how defensive Wes got when Tanner came clean about warning Jillian about a possible girlfriend. Yet he still didn’t feel the need to mention his suspicions to her during his private time by the fire pit. He also failed to tell her his feelings or sneak a smooch.

He eventually told her the next morning but Kiptyn immediately pulled her away for himself and did everything Jake failed to do, which garnered him the rose. When the topic of conversation turned to what people sleep in, Tanner exposed his skivvies. Jillian admired the “huge” package and let him massage her feet. Unfortunately, he couldn’t carry on a serious conversation when toes come out, and that obviously hurt him.

Third Date’s a Charm: Reid, who found himself alone and stuck in the car during the group outing, solicited opinions about what to wear on his date from the staff. He worried that he wasn’t a perfect snowboarder and reminded Jillian that he didn’t celebrate Christmas when she used it as a way to describe her fantasy relationship. He was mortified by her disregard for proper produce cleaning protocol during fondue. And after all that, and his confession that she wasn’t his normal type, she gave him immunity at the rose ceremony.

Two For the Road: The train pulled into Banff, where Jillian cut two more suitors. When she called Wes’s name, she missed the looks of disdain the other men exchanged. She pulled Michael aside to make sure he was ready for marriage and kids and despite having earlier said there was no physical attraction, she kept him. This sent the foot fetishist home and into a tirade of f-bombs and grounded the pilot. Jake asked what he did wrong and she had no answer. “I laid down my heart,” he said in a heartbreaking exit. “Nice guys finish last. Story of my life. I was blindsided.

JILLIAN QUITS MARK, ED LEAVES THE SHOW!

JILLIAN QUITS MARK, ED QUITS JILLIAN

via: http://tvwatch.people.com/2009/06/16/ed-quits-the-bachelorette-jillian-quits-mark/

Jillian whisked the remaining 10 bachelors away to the winter wonderland that is Whistler. Unfortunately this week, real world issues invaded the fairy tale that is The Bachelorette.

Like Mike: The breakdancer finally scored a one-on-one date when Jillian took him zip-lining to determine if there was a romantic connection. He tried a little too hard, but we’re glad he’s around for comedic value. After last week’s dramatic girlfriend accusations, Jillian has become noticeably more suspicious and asked tough questions about what brought him to the show during an intimate dinner in a wine cellar. He was open about his last relationship and his intense attraction to her, which earned him another week to woo.

Snow Date: Eight men went snowmobiling for the group outing, with some of them pairing up and squeezing each other for safety. Robby was lucky enough to ride with Jill but our equal opportunity adventurer took the driver’s seat. During a private moment, he apologized for his emotional (albeit valid) outburst at the last kickoff and said he was ready to settle down despite his young age. Tattletale Tanner backtracked and refused to call Wes out by name fearing he’d “make enemies,” which did not please Jillian. However, she did give him a flower.

Still Swooning: Wes managed to work his upcoming CD into the conversation at least three times while explaining what path to the show and his unanticipated feelings for Jillian. If the mini-makeout session was any indication, she seemed to buy it. She claimed she would be able to tell if he had a girlfriend, but she’s seemed blinded by the lite-FM. Plus, he looked guilty eavesdropping from the second floor. Kiptyn also received his fair share of kisses when the gang retired to a secluded lodge for the evening.

Career Comes First: Ed was given an ultimatum by his boss: Stay for love or come home immediately and stay employed. Jillian gave him a date rose to convince him staying was worth it. Despite saying he’d stick around if she dropped the right hints, he called her in to say he was leaving. She was immediately reduced to tears and seemed taken aback by his request to keep his rose as a souvenir. Maybe this is foreshadowing his return? She made him promise not to choose work over love when he did find the one and went on a solitary gondola ride and mountain hike to nurse her broken heart.

Cool As Ice: Jesse got the second solo date. Hot tubs and flights in small crafts make our Bachelorette frisky, and this date had both. They flew to an isolated glacier where they spent the day making snow angels, tossing each other into the powder, sharing feelings and swapping spit. Jesse declared it the best date, best kiss and best day he’d ever had. At dinner, viewers learned that Jesse was ready to have children and got turned on by Jillian’s voice.

Enough Already: So over Jillian dancing on bars. Just because you are drinking at a flat surface does not mean you need to pull an Ugly Coyote. Also quit knocking your body. You cannot call yourself fat and then look that awesome in a bathing suit! (And how adorable was that tartan-kini?) And to the production team, we don’t need the highlight footage from a show segment we watched an hour ago. Thanks.

One For the Road: Because Ed took himself out of contention, Jillian only had to eliminate one more suitor and it was Mark. He looked like he could shoot daggers from his eyes, but later offered Jillian a place to stay anytime she found herself in Denver. “I’ve always struggled with relationships,” he said. “I’ve been cheated on four times. I have a wall that had to be broken down.” He also alluded to others not being as honest with Jillian as he had been, swore he did not have a girlfriend and (in a subtle swipe at Wes) was not there to sell records. – Carrie Bell

Tell us: Will Ed return? Were you happy or sad to see Mark go? Do you think someone is still lying about a girlfriend?

JILLIAN HINTS AT A HAPPY ENDING...

The Bachelorette’s Jillian Hints at a Happy Ending to People Magazine!

Jillian Harris, the current star of The Bachelorette, is keeping her lips sealed when it comes to the results of her show, but she’s hinting that there will be a very happy ending. “I found happiness, absolutely,” she told PEOPLE in a recent interview. “But in all fairness to that question, I’ve been happy for the last 29 years of my life. I’m a pretty happy girl.” But Harris goes on to say, “I’m in an extremely happy place right now,” and adds, “I’ve never been in the place that I’m in right now, which is a very good place."

In week 3, Jillian shares a few “awkward” kisses, goes over the edge (literally) with Ed and gets is blown away by Robbie D’s acting chops. Hey Guys! Wow! Am I alone in saying that was one of the craziest episodes ever! (And somehow I think that won’t be the last time I say that) with all the romance, drama and kissing, and my first tears … even my head was spinning when I watched it!

At the time, I remember there being some tension in the house, but not that much! Remember — anything that I don’t see — I don’t know about… so I had no idea of the magnitude of conflict that was going on. It’s times like those that I really wish I had a secret little camera to get the inside scoop. That way I would have stormed right in there and put a stop to all that nonsense. On to a more positive topic … the dates this week were over the top… literally! My date with Ed was truly the definition of “living on the edge.” At the time, Ed seemed so easy-breezy about going over the edge of that building, but he later revealed to me that he was a nervous wreck! The best part about Ed moving into the house was his house attire — Ed would lounge around the mansion like he owned the place, wearing a silk robe and cucumber eye masks (and later on, drinking blended margaritas at 8 a.m. with Robbie!) For the record, some of the kisses on the western date were really awkward (sorry guys!). But I totally appreciated how the guys were all really going for it, and I had fun being a good sport! I am so not an actress, so the scene work was nerve-racking for me. It wasn’t until the last scene that Robbie D was finally able to calm my nerves a bit. He put me at ease, and dealt with his scene with such class. I was really proud of him, and had a blast acting with him. That’s why I gave him the rose. Actually, thinking back, I was also very proud of Tanner for sporting that ridiculous costume. The poor guy was last to be “outfitted,” and that was all that was left He was such a good sport about it — even when I made fun of his furry chaps. That week, unfortunately, ended with me having to deny Sasha the rose on our date. This was an extremely hard situation for me. I knew at the time, there were other men in the house that were “less perfect” for me, but I also knew it wasn’t fair to keep Sasha if I didn’t feel the connection. Sasha is such a great guy, and I was touched by all that he shared regarding his accident. Still, I wanted to be fair, and that meant ending the date with disappointment for both of us.

Thank you again, for tuning in every week. As time goes on I can promise you even more romance, laughter, adventure and yes… even more kissing … (sigh)

Yours truly,
Jilly
