Mourners Attend Gia Allemand's Funeral in New York

Bachelor stars DeAnna Pappas, Graham Bunn and Gia Allemand

Today, Gia Allemand's friends and family came together to mourn the death of the late Bachelor star. Gia took her own life last week in an apparent suicide. Gia's funeral took place earlier today at Trinity Grace Church in Chelsea. Did Chris Harrison or other Bachelor contestants attend her funeral? It was reported that Jake Pavelka attended as well as other friends and many took to Twitter and Facebook to pay their respects including Tenley Molzahn who wrote:

Gia Allemand Funeral Update August 22

Gia Allemand's funeral service is now confirmed for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22nd at Trinity Grace Church in Chelsea (NYC). The funeral is preceded by visitation on Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. EST at the Papavero Funeral Home.

About Gia: Television personality and model Gia Allemand (29) passed away on August 14, 2013, two days following a suicide attempt. Her mother, boyfriend (NBA Basketball Player Ryan Anderson), and other life-long friends were by her side.

Gia Allemand Hospitalized on Life Support

We're not sure what happened but former Bachelor contestant, Gia Allemand, was admitted to hospital in critical condition. Gia was the 29 year old beauty from Jake Pavelka's season and Bachelor Pad. She remains at University Hospital with her mother and boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson, by her side.

Gia's good friend, Melinda Farina, sent a series of Tweets about her friend's condition. Here's what she says.

'Bachelor' Tenley 'wants Jake competition'

Wow. Jake Pavelka dumps you and then you disappear from the media before Chris Harrison can say 'rose ceremony.' All of a sudden no one wants to interview sweet Tenley or kind Gia anymore and they seemed to have vanished from the media. Unlike Melissa Rycroft, Tenley was not offered a contract with DWTS and Ali has taken the role of Bachelorette. Tenley has joked that she wants to be on DWTS to compete against Jake but is DWTS calling her? Not yet! Gia went back home to NY to persue her modelling career and we can only guess that Tenley is still pining away for Jake.

The Bachelor: Gia and Ali want to be next bachelorette

US Weekly reports that "Yeah, I would definitely consider it," Allemand, 26, told USA Today in a press call Thursday. "It's such an amazing experience. I would love to find love and see how it is on the other end." Ali Fedotowsky, 25, tells E! News that "the idea of being put in another situation where I have to choose love over work is very frightening to me." But she says "it would be so exciting and wonderful." More here.
