I am amazed at how selfishly Jillian reacted to Ed's very difficult decision. In this tough economy, Ed could face unemployment, losing a living and self-sustenance. He was extremely sad to make this decision, and instead of understanding, she put a guilt trip on him by accusing him of placing work before relationships. Please! The girl was just kissing on two guys the night before! She couldn't guarantee Ed a spot in the final two, and he had other people counting on him back home.
I wish Jillian could have thought about Ed's best interest rather than her own. Instead, she made things harder and sadder for Ed because she couldn't think of anyone but herself. I like Jillian, so I am disappointed. I hope she grows up.
I thought Ed was one of the front runners and now I'm dissappointed in Jillian too. Don't misunderstand, I like Jillian and that's why I'm watching this season. But Ed seems like a very mature and level headed guy, to leave and think about his career and future...what's wrong with that. Remember this is not normal circumstances for dating. Jillian should respect that and try and come up with a way to get to Chicago!...He seems like a great guy. Too bad she missed the chance at that one. I'm gonna miss him not being on the show. He is far better than some of the "characters" she has left to choose from. Fan from Illinois
Ed was the only one who I would have been remotely interested in (if I were in Jillian's shoes). He is a man in a sea of baby-faced boys. I understand that she was disappointed but is it not better to have someone who shows a sense of responsibility than someone to roll around on a glacier with? No offense. Wrong decision, Jillian, and I hope it won't come back to bite you in the butt.
I was not an Ed fan so I won't miss him. I am still so undecided as to who I think would be good. I like Michael and Jesse (maybe) but I do know that I cannot stand Wes. Love the blog.
Ed's departure was so scripted that it was not even funny! It's so OBVIOUS that Ed will return. His work excuse was so lame, especially due to the fact that the men are not allowed any outside contact except for family emergencies.
Ed's comment about keeping the rose was also a dead give away and I'm sure we'll see him again. As in the famous words of Arnold Swarzenegger, "I'll be back"
The entire show is scripted! Nobody is allowed outside contact and we are expected to believe Ed talked to his boss? ABC is trying so hard to get their credibility back after the Jason fiasco and then they pull this crap on us? They don't think highly of their viewers that's for sure.
Ed does come back...thank heavens as other than Reid, he's the only one with any personality!
