The Bachelorette: Wes sings a different tune; 'Laurel' revealed
On Monday's episode of The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris — ignoring the better judgment of millions of viewers yelling "Noooooo" at their televisions — opted to keep that lyin', cheatin', song-writin' Wes Hayden around for another week. She didn't care that he had told Jake he had a girlfriend named Laurel, she said: She believed in her man.
The man himself, a native of Austin, Tex., has now spoken out in his own defence. Horrified with the way the show has portrayed him, he broke his contractually mandated silence to speak to Dallas radio station KISX-FM, reports the website Examiner.com.
It was all in the editing, Wes insisted: "I can tell you that a lot of what was said was taken out of context with voiceovers on certain subject matters. For instance, when I said 'I could taste the fame, I could feel it,' when I heard that, I almost fell on the floor and had a heart attack. . . . The interviewer actually asked me what it was like when I was writing a song, the response was that I can taste it, and it comes inside of me, and then comes out on pen and paper."
