The Boston Landscaper is quite happy living his life with his new girlfriend, a blond woman from Texas who was once on television herself (and rumored to be the Bachelor's Peyton Wright), and spending time with his family. “I found a very nice girl all by myself,” Chris told a local radio station, She’s a nice Southern girl. We’ve been dating for a few months." Chris met his new girlfriend at a fund-raiser.
When asked why he turned down being the Bachelor, Chris said "He didn’t like how “The Bachelorette’’ had portrayed him, as an always-sweet, good-guy character known to fans as “Chris L.’’ He felt that ABC focused too much on the death of his mother, Marjorie, who in 2008 succumbed to multiple system atrophy, a neurological disorder similar to ALS. He says the show didn’t focus on his years of teaching in New York City schools or his sarcastic sense of humor. He was just that nice guy whose mom had died. Chris Harrison: Emily. She comes in this sweet, cute Southern package, and even if you didn’t know her story you’d want to put her on your night stand and keep her as a doll. She’s the sweetest thing in the world and then you hear her story and realize how strong she is, and what she has had to endure.
TVGuide.com: So I hear Brad’s a happy man these days.
Chris Harrison: You’ll have to wait and see if it’s a “happy ending” with a proposal, but he is in love. For him, it’s a win, because he wanted to prove to himself, as much as anybody, that he can get there.

One, of course, I was so much more open to the process and then I just had a great time; though that sounds strange, because I had a good time last time. It was just so much more fun and I don’t know, the women were so much more engaging. It was a great experience.

Brad Womack: I don’t know if it had anything to with me, but the women were very, very competitive. They made it very well known that they wanted to have their individual time. It was a lot of fun.
I was told there was drama happening back at the house when I wasn’t around. So it’s going to be interesting. I’ll watch it exactly when you watch it.
